Throughout the weekend, tabletop game designer Simon Burley, creator of Golden Heroes (the UK’s first superhero role-playing game) and author of The Code of Steam and Steel, will be running fast-paced, beginner-friendly role-playing sessions set in worlds of steam, invention and time-bending adventure.
In keeping with the spirit of the Portmeirion promenade – elegant, eccentric and gloriously imaginative – players can step into:
- A bold alternative Victorian age of airships, intrigue and mechanical marvels
- A time-twisting adventure inspired by the worlds of Doctor Who
Each session lasts around an hour and is designed to be welcoming, accessible and exciting. No experience is needed. All materials are provided – simply sit down and become part of the story. Even if a game has already started, if there’s a free chair feel free to sit down and join in.
During the evening, Simon may also offer a longer invitational adventure for those wishing to delve deeper into a full cinematic scenario.
